SEZ: Prêt-à-Couture for Women with Purpose

SEZ creates the kind of clothes that change when you move. Before developing SEZ in Quito, Sarah Erazo Zindler trained in Paris and Barcelona and gained experience working with designers such as Zac Posen and Reem Acra.

Zindler works closely with the fabric, paying attention to its weight, movement, and natural behaviour before deciding how it should take shape. The result can range from controlled, minimal forms to more dramatic volumes, often within the same collection.

Pleating is particularly important to the label. Folds and the way the fabric is cut become part of the shape itself, giving the garments their structure without relying on additional decoration.

SEZ refers to its work as Prêt-A-Couture. The pieces are produced in small quantities at the atelier in Quito, allowing Zindler to keep the making process closely connected to the design and give each garment the attention it requires.

At the centre of the brand is the idea of the “Woman with Purpose.” She dresses for herself, choosing pieces for their shape, movement, and the way they feel when worn. SEZ is for a woman looking for something beyond the expected, without losing sight of how she actually wants to dress.

The collections are small, with pleating and volume appearing throughout the pieces rather than being used as occasional details. The result is clothing that can be understated or dramatic, depending on the piece, while keeping the same attention to shape and construction throughout.
